Winter 2006 Hosting Program

Everything is set for the arrival of 24 children and their escorts from Ukraine on December 22, 2006.  The host families are eagerly planning and preparing fro the children's visits.  Excitement and a bit of anxiety are the order of the day for the host parents.  But, the time will fly by - as it always does - and the children will be walking off that plane and into the welcoming embrace of our wonderful hosting families very soon.  We will post updates to this site during the three weeks the children are here.  We know everyone loves to share in the experience of the children and families.  Check the site often.  Thank you.

Winter Hosting Program General Information

We expect the children to arrive in New York City between during the third week of December. They will stay for approximately three weeks. Families may live in any state and travel to JFK Airport in NYC to pick up the child and take him/her home. Families are responsible for cost of all travel for the child in the U.S. The fee for the hosting program is $2500. We know it sounds like a lot but this amount represents the actual costs associated with arranging the program, travel expenses and covering the cost for the children's adult escorts. 

While the main purpose of the Hosting Program is to give the children a wonderful vacation, the children will also be spending time with families who are interested in adopting an older child from an Eastern European country. The hosting program could result in many of the hosted children finding permanent families in the U.S.

The children range in age from six years old to fourteen years old.  There are girls, boys and sibling groups.  We have photos of the children and would be happy to share them via individual emails.  Just click on "Registration" at left and complete the Host Parent Registration form.  You can also email or call for more information.  We need families now.
