MEET THE KIDS

Boys and girls, 6 to 14 years old from orphanages in Eastern European countries are participating in Summer 2007 Hosting Program.  

The children are chosen to participate in hosting by the orphanage directors who know the children well.  The children are most often selected because they are both physically and emotionally healthy and strong.  Just imagine - these young children travel for 30 hours by air, experience a brand new environment and go off with a family of strangers to stay with them for three weeks.  Different languages, new foods, all kinds of new sights and sounds - all this can be overwhelming and pretty scary.  The children chosen are one who the orphanage directors believe will be able to stand up to the exhaustion, confusion and fears connected with such a journey.  These are children who want to meet you as much as you want to share your family life with them.

We can arrange to bring a group of children to your state or community when we have six to eight families who want to host.  You can help us bring the children to you by helping us gather families for hosting.  Click on the Start a Hosting Program in Your City tab to the left of this screen to find out more.               

All Host Families will be assigned Host a Child Coordinator who will send photos and information about the children available for hosting.  You will also receive instructions and a guidebook about the program.
