2006 SUMMER HOSTING PROGRAM

Another Summer Hosting Program Successfully Completed August 2006

An exhausted and slightly dazed group of Ukrainian orphans arrived on August 12 at the airports in New York and Detroit. They were greeted with warm hugs, welcoming smiles, teddy bears and flowers from the Host Families who had been waiting for them "forever." It's hard to know who was more anxious and relieved that the children had finally arrived - the parents, the children or the frazzled escorts. Everything was quickly sorted out and the children were off to stay for almost three weeks with their American families. 

We have posted some photos below of the children and their families having terrificc times during the visit that was described by the parents as "way too short."

We will be organizing more groups of children for the Winter 2006 and Summer 2007 Hosting Programs. We can arrange to bring as many children as we have hosting families.
